Dr. Ellinas has qualified from theMedical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greeceand has completed the first part of his Specialty Training in Cyprus under the Greek Surgical Training Programme in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. 

 

Dr. Ellinas’s Advanced Specialist Training took place in the UK where he completed several fellowships in the fields of:

 

       • Rhinology – Endoscopic Sinus Surgery / Anterior Skull Base Surgery
       • Rhinoplasty – Functional and Cosmetic
       • Paediatric ENT – Use of Coblation for minimal blood loss procedures
       • Otology – Neurotology / Vertigo
       • Sleep Disordered Breathing – Snoring / Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
       • Voice – Specialist Voice Clinics / Microphonosurgery

Dr. Ellinas has successfully been awarded the title of MRCS (ENT), becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also been awarded the title of DOHNS after obtaining the Diploma of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

 

Subsequently, Dr. Ellinas has become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England by been awarded the title of FRCS and he has also been awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery CCST (ORL – HNS).

 

Following the completion of his Specialist and Sub-specialist training, Dr. Ellinas had been appointed as a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon and Head of the Rhinology Department at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust Hospitals in the UK. 

 

He had also been the ENT Department’s Educational Lead in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and had been responsible for the teaching and training of the ENT Surgeon Trainees within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Training Deanery.

 

Dr. Ellinas is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck SurgeryFEB (ORL – HNS), after successfully passing the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

 

Since 2021, he serves as an Examiner of the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

 

Furthermore, based on his clinical work and surgical experience, Dr. Ellinas has been awarded the title of FACS, becoming an International Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

 

Since June 2018, Dr. Ellinas has been an Associate Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon at Saint Raphael Private Hospital (Larnaca, Cyprus).

He is the Head of the ENT Department of the Hospital, where he performs a broad-spectrum of Paediatric and Adult Head & Neck surgical procedures.

 

His clinic room and private practice is based within the Hospital, where he uses the latest technology and equipment for the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the head and neck area.

 

Since 2019, Dr. Ellinas teaches Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as a Clinical Associate at St George’s University of London Medical Programme, delivered by the University of Nicosia Medical School.
