About

Dr Andreas Ellinas is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon with extensive training and experience in both adult and paediatric ENT conditions.

He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and completed the initial part of his specialist training in Cyprus under the Greek Surgical Training Programme in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr Ellinas undertook his advanced specialist and sub-specialist training in the United Kingdom, where he completed multiple fellowships in highly specialised areas of ENT, including:

  • Rhinology – Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Anterior Skull Base Surgery and Functional Septorhinoplasty
  • Paediatric ENT – including the use of Coblation technology to minimise blood loss and postoperative discomfort
  • Sleep Disordered Breathing – Snoring / Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
  • Otology and Neurotology – Hearing disorders and Vertigo
  • Voice Disorders – Specialist voice clinics, Dysphonia and Microlaryngeal (voice) surgery

Dr. Ellinas has successfully been awarded the title of MRCS (ENT), becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

He has also obtained the Diploma of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England DOHNS.

He subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and was successfully awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery CCST (ORL-HNS).

Following completion of his specialist training, Dr Ellinas was appointed Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon and Head of the Rhinology Department at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust Hospitals in the United Kingdom.

During this time, he also served as the ENT Educational Lead, overseeing the training and supervision of ENT surgical trainees within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Training Deanery.

Dr Ellinas is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (FEB ORL-HNS), having successfully passed the European Board Examination.

He also serves as an Examiner for the European Board Examination, contributing to the training and assessment of current and future ENT specialists across the World.

In recognition of his clinical expertise and surgical experience, Dr Ellinas has also been awarded the title of FACS, becoming an International Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Since 2019, Dr Ellinas is Cyprus’s Official Council Member Representative at the European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ESPO).

Since June 2018, Dr Ellinas has been an Associate Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon at St. Raphael Private Hospital in Larnaca, Cyprus.

He serves as Head of the ENT Department, where he performs a wide range of paediatric and adult head and neck surgical procedures.

His outpatient clinic and private practice are based within the hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology allowing accurate diagnosis and personalised, evidence-based treatment, regarding conditions affecting the head and neck area.

From 2019 to 2025, Dr Ellinas had held the role of Clinical Associate at the St George’s University of London Medical Programme, delivered by the University of Nicosia Medical School, teaching Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery to undergraduate medical students.
